The Beatles
Let me just say this FORGET THE BEATLES. If I can go the rest of my life without hearing another Beatles song, I would be cool. In my mind, they stole our music and made more money than the brothers and sisters they took it from. Twist and Shout, one of their most famous songs, is an ISLEY BROTHERS song!
They were not a voice of generation. My aunt was born in 1942, “the generation of the BEATLES”, and I just called her and asked could she name a Beatles song off the top of her head. She couldn’t do it and my point proven.
Or as my father said when John Lennon was shot “I DON’T SEEM TO REMEMBER THIS MANY WHITE PEOPLE UPSET WHEN DR. KING WAS MURDERED”.
Beatlemania is over. Everything they do makes news for NO GOOD REASON. Let’s shut this down. If you want to listen a good British invasion band, please listen to FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS!!!
